Faster Boot-up Time

• The current P-MAS Firmware takes 46 sec’s to load with 3 x Drives on network.

• A lot of effort has been invested in reducing this:

 Optimized boot loader.

 Smaller image footprint.

 Not loading unnecessary drivers and modules.

 Deferring modules to load after everything is running.

 Introducing ‘Packages’.

 New Firmware bootup with 3 x drives takes 19 sec’s.

 13 seconds for Image to load. 6 seconds to initialize Ethercat states on ALL slaves.

 Time above is until a user program starts running and powers on motors.
